Aura A30 Soundbar

I have been using this speaker system for almost a month now, I waited a while before reviewing it because I wanted to make sure there were no issues and also wanted to get a better idea of how it performs.

I wanted to put it in my bedroom, I have a 2.1 system from the same brand but it wasn't full surround, when this one came along I immediately bought it.

It's a really great little device that's powerful! The main speaker is twice the size of my other speaker and feels really premium. It's weight gives it a really clear sound but it also looks really nice, it fits my room really well without disturbing others, the black finish is clean with sculpted edges and it looks a lot like its more expensive competitors.

The subwoofer is slightly smaller in size than the other one but the bass is produced via a bottom firing driver and there's a fairly long cable to put in a corner.

My other speaker had a slightly tinny sound but this one has a really warm sound and is actually a powerful little beast. It delivers a deep, rumbling sound and even a huge bass punch.

The sound coming out of the rear speakers is also really excellent and really adds depth when enjoying a movie or playing music. I love that the rear speakers are wireless! No need to run wires along the skirting or hide them, they can be placed anywhere you like.

I put them on my headboard and they have made me more relaxed in bed than before!

The back of the main speaker has the Aux, USB and Optical inputs. My other one has Arc but this one doesn't, but don't think it's lacking because of that. The Optical is more than enough to get the sound you need. You will need to set the unit to pcm as it doesn't support other codecs but the sound it produces is so good you can't tell the difference. works great and is very responsive, and you can also use the app if you want.

My only issue is that I couldn't activate the warranty as this model isn't available on the website.

What I like:

+ I have a more expensive soundbar in my living room. We used this one when we were building out, and I can tell you that while the price difference is quite large, the quality difference isn't. That bodes well for the Ultimea soundbar setup.
+ Good value for money. A high quality subwoofer, soundbar and two satellite speakers for under ￡100 is great value.
+ Setting up the soundbar and subwoofer is very simple thanks to the app. The app is excellent and gives you control over a wide range of parameters, letting you customise your setup effectively.
+ The sound quality is much better than you'd expect from a soundbar of this price. The subwoofer delivers rich bass and the high frequencies are very clear.

What I don't like:

- There's really nothing I don't like. The soundbar is relatively short in size compared to more expensive soundbars. However, if you need it to be compact, this could be a big advantage for you. It's perfect for limited spaces and considering how small it is, it delivers a surprisingly full sound that fills the room.

Do I recommend it?

Yes, absolutely. At less than ￡100, this represents excellent value for money.

This soundbar transformed our TV watching experience into a true home cinema atmosphere. The virtual surround sound is impeccable… every movie, show and game feels immersive and like you are right in the middle of the action.

This soundbar is a lot of fun. The woofer is wired, and the separate tweeter is wired, but as far as the main part of the system is concerned, they are wireless. If it felt like everything could be wired wirelessly, this would be a really great system that could be installed anywhere.

Indeed, everything works well, and the sound is pretty good, not as deep as I would like, but as a system that connects to a secondary TV, they are pretty much perfect.

The wires make installation tricky, as you need to lay things out so that the wires aren't strewn around the room.

As for connecting to the devices, there are plenty of options, so you can connect them to a TV, computer (wired or via Bluetooth), phone/tablet, and even a projector.

The remote is simple and straightforward to use. The app brings most of the same controls to your phone.

If your space is wired, you'll get good results from this soundbar system.
